The UNRBA partners with local stakeholders to assess and make management recommendations for watersheds within the Upper Neuse Basin. We focus on watersheds with the most outstanding resources and impaired watersheds.

Critical Lands Protection Plans

The UNRBA places a strong emphasis on supporting local conservation efforts to protect watersheds with outstanding water quality and aquatic habitat. To date, the UNRBA has focused on the following projects:

• Little River Riparian Corridor Conservation Plan
• Upper Neuse Clean Water Initiative

Watershed Restoration Plans

In impaired watersheds, the UNRBA manages watershed restoration plans in the following watersheds:

• Little Lick Creek Local Watershed Plan
• Lick Creek Watershed Restoration Plan

The UNRBA was a stakeholder in the NC Ecosystem Enhancement Program's Creation of the Ellerbe Creek Local Watershed Plan.
